Improve controls over the intake and recording of computer-security incidents reported by banks and service providers to ensure that: (1) records are added to the Virtual Supervisory Information on the Net system as required, (2) recorded incident information in the Virtual Supervisory Information on the Net system and in the Division of Risk Management Supervision Incident Reports is complete, appropriate, and accurate, and (3) the most severe incidents can be readily identified to promote early awareness of emerging threats.
