Establish a formal process that provides the CEO with comprehensive information on the results of CNCS’s internal control assessment, status of open material weaknesses and significant deficiencies from prior year’s financial statement audits, and information on issues that could be reported as a significant deficiency or a material weakness in the current year’s financial statement audit for consideration in preparing the CNCS assurance statement. This should also include the status of open recommendations from other audits that have a significant impact on CNCS’s operations or financial reporting. (new)
