Report Description:
In PDF pages 117-122 of the Federal Trade Commission's Performance and Accountability Report for Fiscal Year 2013, find the unqualified opinion on the FTC's FY 2013 financial statements. The OIG contracted with the independent certified public accounting firm of Brown & Company CPAs, PLLC, to audit the FTC's financial statements as of September 30, 2013, and for the year then ended. Brown & Company found (1) the FY 2013 financial statements were fairly presented, in all material aspects, in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S.; (2) no significant deficiencies in internal control over financial reporting; and (3) no instances of reportable noncompliance with certain provisions of laws and regulations tested, or other matters. The OIG commended the FTC for attaining an unqualified (clean) opinion for the 17th consecutive year.
